From art installations and AI devices to symbiotic spas and tea ceremonies with robots: immerse yourself in Project Area 2025 at Sónar+D 2025.

The most distinctive part of the Sónar+D experience returned for its third edition in 2025. Project Area, the interactive exhibition space at the heart of Sónar by Day, showcased cutting-edge technology, innovative design, radical thinking and advanced research. Project Area 2025 offered first-hand experience of technology’s most creative uses: a space to try, experiment and play with the technologies of the future.

The artist Yolanda Uriz invited us to communicate with the plant world through the smell with its installation 'Chemical Calls of Care'Presented by NEWART Foundation and the Ernesto Ventós Foundation.

For those curious about the human genome, neurohacking or robots that serve tea, in the Future Worlds section, alongside her talk at Stage+D, the Artist Xin Liu presented her new creation, an installation based on her work A Book of MineAlso presented by the NEWART Foundation, in which her entire genome is continuously printed throughout the exhibition.
