Individuals appointed by the Board of Trustees in recognition of their exceptional and sustained contribution to the Foundation’s development and history.

Mr Vicente Matallana (1967–2026), remembered for his essential contribution to NEWART Foundation and NEWART Centre from the project’s beginnings. A leading advocate for technology-based art and digital art preservation, he directed the BEEP Electronic Art Collection and founded LaAgencia. His commitment to culture and to ethical and democratic values remains part of the Foundation’s legacy.
Mr Joaquim Barriach Sugrañes, in recognition of his essential contribution through Pousovià S.L., which, together with Farovey S.L. and COEINF, was one of the three founding organisations of NEWART Foundation in 2013. He also served as an active member of the Board of Trustees until 2025.
