NEWART Centre opens in Reus as a leading venue for technological art

The NEWART Centre Reus officially opens the facilities on October 2 with the exhibition
Hello World!, a journey through sixty years of technological art through more than 27 pieces of the
NEWART Collection (Formerly known as BEEP Collection).

This new cultural space of more than 3,000 m² crystallizes twenty years of continuous work in
production, conservation and dissemination of technological art driven by the NEWART Foundation. The
The center is constituted as a stable and open infrastructure to the community, with rooms
of exhibition, workshops and a specialized warehouse, offering a permanent program of activities and
programs.

According to its leaders, "NEWART Centre is born with the vocation of being a living organism,
a space where conservation, research and creation coexist and feed back, establishing a
new model of the relationship between art, science and technology and the different agents that interact
(Artists, users, visitors, etc.)

Inspired by institutions such as the Schaulager of Basel or the Depot Boijmans Van
Beuningen from Rotterdam,
the NEWART Centre is committed to a matristic and systemic approach,
based on cooperation, relationships and constant learning, aligned with the objectives of the
New European Bauhaus.
