Diario, 1997–2024
About the artwork
Diario originated in the InterMedia concert El Diario de Jonás, commissioned by CDMC for the 1997 Alicante Festival. The first installation was presented at La Gallera in Valencia during ENSEMS in 1998; the project also produced the radio work Tagebuch for WDR. The current version combines scores, sequences and memories recorded by the artists. Eight sound sources, controlled in real time by software developed by José Manuel Berenguer, preserve the concert’s shifting and unpredictable character.
Produced by NEWART Foundation, the project received support from the Catalan Department of Culture’s Directorate-General for Innovation and Digital Culture.
