About the artwork
Chemical Calls of Care II proposes chemical telecommunications between people and plants. A system of tubes and fans transports olfactory information to a receiving terminal. At the sending terminal, visitors can transmit beneficial substances as messages of care for the ecosystem.
The plants respond with volatile organic compounds. Gas sensors collect data from the air and turn it into sound, offering another way to approach this exchange.
