About the artwork
Aurelia 1+Hz / proto viva generator explores possible forms of coexistence between humans, animals and machines. The installation connects living jellyfish with a simple robotic machine, speculating about a biocybernetic organism emerging from their union. The question of a potentially indefinite life opens a reflection on the boundaries between biology and technology.

Career and projects
Robertina Šebjanič investigates the cultural, biopolitical, chemical and biological dimensions of aquatic environments. Her interdisciplinary practice connects art, technology and science, often through collaboration. She is part of Hackteria Network and Theremidi Orchestra. She received an honorary mention at Prix Ars Electronica in 2016 and was an Ars Electronica EMAP/EMARE artist in residence in 2018. She has presented her work at institutions and festivals including ZKM, La Gaîté Lyrique, CTM, Eyebeam and Ars Electronica.
