About the artwork
The Eye to Eye series brings together light compositions contained within geometric structures. A program slowly changes their colour harmonies, intensity and brightness. Colour becomes a connection between the viewer’s inner experience and the surrounding environment, turning each composition into a perceptual landscape open to interpretation.
Artistic career: Ulrich Müchenberger
Career and projects
Ulrich Müchenberger began investigating light art in 1994 and presented his first dynamic-light project in 1995. His work ranges from architectural interventions to light objects for exhibition spaces. The interaction of darkness, luminosity and colour combinations underpins a practice inviting viewers to observe slow changes and construct a personal experience of colour.
