About the artwork
Other Days, Other Eyes reflects on the recording infrastructures surrounding us and the accumulation of everyday information. It combines live camera images, archival material and glass forms that appear to grow from architecture. The project explores the coexistence of the physical and virtual, natural and artificial. It grew out of IMAGEOBJECTLANDSCAPEEVENT, a research project by the Kitchen-Hooker team, and engages with J. G. Ballard’s story The Sound-Sweep.
Its title comes from Bob Shaw. The work was made in collaboration with glass artist Evan Voelbel.
