Introducing ‘Impuls i traçat’, an artwork by Anna Carreras created with the business community

REDESSA and NEWART Centre recently presented “Impuls i traçat”, a digital artwork by Anna Carreras conceived as part of REDESSA’s 30th-anniversary celebrations. The piece symbolises the entrepreneurial drive, innovation and ability to create opportunities that have defined REDESSA and its business community over these three decades.

The work has been installed in the lobby of the business center of REDESSA Tecno, in the Technological and Innovation Park of Tecnoparc de Reus, an emblematic space for the business and innovative ecosystem of the city.

The presentation event was attended by the artist Anna Carreras, the president of the NEWART Foundation, Andreu Rodríguez, and the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Innovation and Knowledge and CEO of REDESSA, Josep Baiges.

A generative work created from collaboration

“Impuls i traçat” was created collaboratively with representatives of businesses in the REDESSA Community, who took part in a working session led by the artist herself. The meeting gathered reflections on innovation, entrepreneurial journeys and the strength of the community, which were subsequently incorporated into the creative process.

The installation is projected in three 75-inch screens and is constantly renewed, as it is generated using algorithms. This makes each visualization unique, making the work a living and constantly evolving piece.

Andreu Rodríguez, president of NEWART Centre, stressed that “collaboration with public organisations is a key factor in developing the foundation’s cultural and social mission. The event at REDESSA demonstrates this cooperation within a long-term research project. Anna Carreras’s participation particularly exemplifies this synergy: her involvement and collaborative attitude were fundamental to the process and resulted in a work of great artistic quality that fully reflects the project’s values and objectives”.
