About the six performative installations that use robotic agents with stylized actors that follow a set of instructions and for the further exploration of the practice of drawing through the use of computer systems and robots.
A “Human Study #1”, a series of performative installations designed for various purposes, a human being is drawn live by various robots in a session of minutes. Both the spectators and the participants sovint define the attention of the robot with a surprising element. In the past three years, Tresset’s research has focused on the creation of other installation series, including the development of a new robot (RNR). In this sense, it is strongly influenced by human behavior that is perceived as familiar, like the robots of “Human Study #1”, it is exploring ways in which the robot (RNR) continued to perceive itself as an alien, disconnected and strange thing.

"RNR" 2022
It is a mediating piece, in which the author investigates how our perception is affected by having a robot looking at us with a different and disconnected perception system. Like animals, if attention is directed at us, we must evaluate instantly: can we eat? Ens menjarà? As humans, the way we observe triggers a flood of emotions. What happens if we can’t decode the observer’s intention? What will the robot draw if the view is different? The objective of the final installation will be to ensure that the emotions of the human being are drawn during sessions of two minutes to progressively move from discomfort to intrigue, tranquility, attraction and fascination.
